Third Sector Training: Manual Handling Training - Tues 16th April
TSL Kirklees is a local charity & membership group that supports, champions & develops the third sector in Kirklees. One of the services we offer is free training, networking & events for voluntary & community groups, charities & social enterprises in Kirklees.
This is a practical course on Tuesday 16th April 2019, from 9am to 12pm, will be delivered by Purple Dog Ltd, and participants are advised to wear trousers or jeans, and tie back long hair. The course will cover:
Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
Manual Handling Regulations 1992 (amended in 2002)
Why correct manual handling techniques are important
Manual handling hazards and risks
Preventing injury from manual handling
Importance of risk assessments
Applying risk assessments to manual handling
Correct manual handling techniques for organisation processes
Coffee, tea and juice will be provided. Parking is available via sloped driveway to the left of the building, or on the street. The training room is accessed via barn doors at the rear of the building, on the right hand side from the car park.
Attendees need to represent a community or voluntary group, charity or social enterprise and need to live or work in Kirklees.
